Botswana is one of the top safari destinations in Africa. Compared to South Africa, Botswana is more wild, more remote and less developed. Most lodges in Botswana charge in USD, and many can only be reached by plane. We can arrange your safari to any of the top safari destinations in Botswana, including Chobe National Park, Savute, the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve, Makgadikgadi pans, and the Kwando and Linyanti areas.

Game viewing in Botswana is fantastic and very diverse. In some areas, you can do game viewing by motorised boats, mokoro (dugout canoe), open Land Rovers, or on foot. The Chobe river area offers the best boat-based game viewing in the world.

Some lodges in Botswana are situated inside the national parks, which means no night drives, bush walks or off-road driving is permitted. Lodges in private concession areas generally offer night drives and bush walks, and off-road driving is permitted. Generally, the lodges in private concession areas are more expensive. Some tented camps are more basic and offer no air-conditioning, others are luxury camps with air-conditioning.

The most accessible national park in Botswana is the Chobe National Park, which is just over an hour's drive from Victoria Falls. There are some very affordable accommodation options in Kasane, a small town on the border of the game reserve, from where you can join daily game drives or boat cruises into the national park. You can also stay at a lodge inside the national park.
