Open vehicle game drives |
|
All daily game drives are included in the price and are conducted in a specially designed open
safari vehicle with a knowledgeable and registered guide.
The guide will help you to spot the
animals and will interpret their behaviour and explain fascinating details about the bush
around you. During each morning drive you can enjoy a scrumptious mid-morning bush brunch, cooked
up by your guide at a beautiful picnic spot, perhaps overlooking one of the waterholes in the
Kruger Park.

Accommodation is in clean, comfortable
thatched bungalows with 2 or 3 beds. Each
unit has air conditioning, ceiling fan,
private bathroom, mosquito screens, fridge
and veranda. We do not offer camping
safaris. Depending on the camp we use, there
may be other accommodation options to choose
from, like 2-bedroom guest cottages, or
permanent safari tents with en-suite
bathroom (with electric fan but without
aircon). More luxurious accommodation
options are also available at extra cost.
Various optional extras can be arranged, including guided bush walks in the Kruger Park, and night
drives with powerful search lights on an open safari vehicle, looking for leopards, lions and
other nocturnal animals.

Itinerary:
Day 1:
Departing from Johannesburg at around 08h30 am we drive along a scenic route to the entrance of
the Kruger National Park. Here we transfer to a specially designed open safari vehicle. Game
viewing begins as soon as we enter the gates, and we look for giraffe, zebra and various antelope
species on our way to the camp, where we arrive by sunset. After settling in, we enjoy a superb
dinner in the camp restaurant. Fall asleep to the sound of hippos snorting or lions roaring in the
distance.
Day 2 & 3:
Full day game drives, or morning and afternoon game drives in the Kruger National Park, filled
with the excitement of seeing Africa's wildlife in their natural habitat, from the safety of an
open safari vehicle. Whether it's lion, elephant, giraffe or the variety of birds and smaller
animals that can be seen, we guarantee you a fascinating and satisfying safari experience in this
vast African wilderness area. While looking for the big 5 and other wildlife, we stop at
waterholes, view points and picnic sites where you can stretch your legs and enjoy some
refreshments. On some safaris, we visit
the waterhole where the famous
Battle at Kruger video was filmed. On each drive, we provide mineral water and soft drinks free of charge. Dinners are
enjoyed in the camp restaurant, or may
take the form of a traditional South
African 'braai' (barbecue) under the
stars (weather permitting).
|
|
Day 4:
This morning we pack up early and head out on a final early morning game drive in search of
wildlife that may have eluded us thus far. We hope to see leopard, wild dogs and other rare
species of wildlife. Breakfast is served at a picnic site along the way, and we exit the Kruger
Park around noon to begin our journey back to Johannesburg. The transfers to and from
Johannesburg are conducted in a luxury air-conditioned microbus. Normally we arrive in
Johannesburg by 17h00 p.m.

|
|

A night drive on an open safari vehicle equipped with spotlights, conducted by one of the Kruger
Park's rangers.
