Departing from Nelspruit or Johannesburg, this safari offers you 4 nights of upmarket accommodation at a lodge on the banks of the Sabie River overlooking the Kruger National Park. Your experienced, professional guide will see to it that every detail is taken care of so that you can relax and enjoy a memorable vacation - at a very attractive price.

Day 1:
Departing from Johannesburg at around 10h00 or from Nelspruit at around 14h00, we take the scenic route to a stunning 4-star lodge on the border of the Kruger National Park. Enjoy welcome drinks and settle in to your luxurious accommodation with private bathroom and air-conditioning. This is truly a magic place, and even from the viewing deck you might be able to see any of the 'big 5' coming down to the river for a drink. At night one can often hear the snorting of hippos, the cry of a hyena or the roaring of lions. Dinner offers the opportunity to savor the superb cuisine that this lodge is renowned for.

Day 2:
We rise before the sun to enjoy a morning game drive in the Kruger National Park in an open safari vehicle. While looking for wildlife we visit waterholes, lookout points and beautiful picnic spots, stopping at regular intervals so you can stretch your legs and enjoy some refreshments. After breakfast at a picnic site in the bush, we return to the lodge around midmorning, where you can spend the hot midday hours relaxing at the pool or watching animals from the deck. In the afternoon we head out on another game drive and return to the lodge at sunset for dinner. After dinner, your guide will treat you to a fascinating, interactive tour of the African night skies using a quality Meade telescope (weather permitting).

Day 3:
After breakfast at the lodge we drive through the beautiful landscape of Mpumalanga province to a traditional cultural village, where you can experience the music and dancing of the Shangaan tribe. We return to the lodge around lunch time, where you can enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Late afternoon, as an optional extra (not included in the price), you may wish to embark on an exciting evening game drive in the Kruger Park on an open safari vehicle, looking for lions, leopard, hyenas and other nocturnal animals.

Day 4:
Today is devoted to a tour of the spectacular Panorama Route, the most scenic part of the Lowveld. We visit God's Window and other breathtaking view points, Bourke's Luck potholes, the Blyde River Canyon, various magnificent waterfalls and more. We return to the lodge in time for another delicious South African dinner.

Day 5:
This morning we depart after a relaxed breakfast for your transfer back to Nelspruit or Johannesburg, in time for you to catch a connecting flight to your next destination.
