Kruger National Park Map

This Kruger National Park map and South Africa map only shows some of the areas we operate in. The bottom map of the Kruger National Park only shows the Southern half of the park. To give you an idea of scale, the entire map from top to bottom is about 200km or 125 miles. The entire reserve is over 2 million hectares so it is impossible to see it all in one trip.

The light green areas to the West of the Kruger National Park represent the private game reserves that form part of the Greater Kruger National Park. These game reserves share an unfenced border with the Kruger National Park. Each dot represents a private camp or game lodge.

The popular southern part of the Kruger National Park is well known for its beauty and diversity of habitat, and its abundance of wildlife. It is also home to most of the 520 bird species that can be found in the Park. Each camp we use is surrounded by an excellent network of roads for game drives, with a selection of nearby picnic sites, lookout points and game viewing hides.

The Kruger National Park is situated about 450km (280 miles) East of Johannesburg. This is a short 1 hour flight, or it takes about 5-6 hours by road, depending on which lodge or camp you are going to.

Keep in mind that these maps do not show all the roads. The nearest airports are Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport near Nelspruit (MQP) and Eastgate Airport near Hoedspruit (HDS). South African Airlink (www.saairlink.co.za) flies to both of these airports daily from Johannesburg. You can also use Nationwide Airlines.

Whether you want to visit one of the private game lodges, do a self-drive safari or join one of our guided Kruger Park safaris, we are here to help you plan your trip. Choosing the right lodge or camp can be a difficult task, so why not rely on our extensive knowledge of this area and many years of experience to help you choose the right safari destination.
