Savanna Game Lodge is situated in the southern part of the Sabi Sands, near the Newington Gate entrance. This 5-star lodge offers luxury permanent tents as accommodation, overlooking an active waterhole. The game viewing at Savanna is great and the hosting is excellent. You will be treated like a long-time friend at Savanna. The lodge is a popular wedding venue.

One minor drawback about Savanna Game Lodge is that it is situated rather close to the south-western boundary fence, and the rural township community beyond the fence can be seen and sometimes heard in the distance at night. Although this is an authentic part of Africa, some people may prefer to see and hear nothing but the bush around them while on safari. Having said that, the game viewing, food, service, hosting and accommodations at Savanna are of the highest standard, and the price is reasonable for a 5-star lodge so you will not be disappointed.

Savanna Lodge RATES

Our rates are all-inclusive. There are no hidden fees or unexpected costs not mentioned below. The following is INCLUDED:

• Accommodation with air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom
• Three delicious meals daily including all teas and coffees, bottled water and selected drinks.
• Two scheduled game drives daily in an open 4 x 4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker (about 3 hours each)
• Interactive bush walk with experienced armed ranger
• VAT / Taxes

Please note the following:

• Rates are quoted per person sharing per night.
• Please ask about single occupancy rates if required.
• Rates are quoted in ZAR (South African Rands).

The following is excluded

• Flights / transfers to and from the lodge (see below).
• Sabi Sand entry fee (if you drive yourself).
• Imported alcohol and selected wines.
• Telephone calls, laundry and other personal expenses.
• Curio shop purchases.

• Children over 8 years are welcome at Savanna. Please ask us about rates and conditions for children.

Flights

• The easiest way to get to Savanna is by booking a direct flight from Johannesburg to the lodge.
• You can also book a scheduled flight to Nelspruit and arrange a road transfer from there.
• We can also arrange a road transfer from Johannesburg, or you can drive yourself to the lodge, if you prefer.
